Senior Associate: Strategic Leadership
Darious holds a Bachelors degree of Human Resource Management from Makerere University, a graduate level certificate of Leadership and Management from the University of Washington and a host of personal development effectiveness certificates having undertaken several short courses. He is currently a Senior Associate at Imprint Uganda Limited where he is working on capacity building interventions for private, public and non-governmental organizations to help them achieve their full potential and deliver on their mandate. These interventions include Leadership & Management Development Programmes, strategic and business planning, organizational development and Training Development. Prior to joining Imprint, Darious trained and worked for different private and government organizations including Uganda Revenue Authority, ULTM-Hotel Management Company and Kanungu District Local Government where he was involved in various fields such as Learning and Development, Performance Management, Organizational Development, Recruitment and selection, Human Resource Planning and Project Management
Darious is a member of the Rotaract Club of Rubaga and volunteer at Namirembe Cathedral where has engaged with over 100 youths to implement community service projects aimed at serving the underprivileged in the society. He is also engaged with the League of Young Professionals, an organization focused on improving the reading culture in Uganda. Through his work, he has been able to realize that an extra effort is needed to empower the youth for sustainable economic development, which prompted him to mobilize fellow youth to start an investment club where they pool resources and invest in ventures that guarantee a fair return on investment while employing fellow youths. Darious is an active member of the Young Africa Leadership Initiative (YALI) Network, a platform that brings together youth across Africa to discuss issues affecting the African continent. He uses this network to gain knowledge and skills, which he transfers into implementing community service projects at his local Rotaract club and in his youth empowerment initiative, Building Capacity for Generations.
Darious is passionate about personal development and youth empowerment, which drives him to volunteer his free time to develop the capacity of college students and fresh graduates through personal and professional development sessions organized by respective Rotaract clubs. Through his professional and volunteer work experience, Darious has developed strong skills in the areas of curriculum development, leadership development, report writing, proposal writing, public speaking, communication, project management, strategic planning among others.
