Partner and Director : Capacity Building
Lydia is an excellent physician and teacher who has led world-class education and training programmes at the Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI) of Makerere University and Hospice Africa Uganda. She a member of the Uganda Chapter of Academic Alliance for AIDS Care and Prevention in Africa, and Clinical Associate in the department of and Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Global Health, University of Washington.
Lydia holds a Medical degree, a Bachelor’s degree in Physiological Sciences, and a Master’s degree from Oxford University; and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (UK).
In addition to having over 19 years’ clinical, educational and research experience in the UK, South Africa and in Uganda, Lydia brings a wealth of leadership and management experience from her work in academia and the health sector, both in public and NGO settings. She has strong facilitation, mentoring, writing and advocacy skills, and is experienced in curriculum development.
